Gwen Stefani is still very much "in love" amid rumors she and husband Blake Shelton are getting a divorce.
The No Doubt frontwoman, in a Nylon interview published Tuesday, quieted all speculation of a forthcoming split.
"The truth is I am in love with my best friend," Stefani, 54, said.
However, the singer admitted that she is still affected by insecurities and "overthinking."
"In my own relationship, even though I know the truth of what's happening today, you still create drama in your own mind about your insecurities and what might happen," she told the outlet.
That feeling did result in something positive: the pair's recent duet, "Purple Irises."
"I had been going through those times where you're questioning: 'Oh my gosh, am I just getting older? Am I cute?'" she said. "I was in that phase of the relationship with Blake and getting paranoid."
Stefani later addressed the rumors, professing she and Shelton, 47, would not let anybody "get to" them.
"When you're in love and have truly aligned values, nobody can get to us," the "Hollaback Girl" singer said. "You can say whatever you want to say about our relationship — I mean, a week ago we were getting divorced again or something. It's just lies. The truth is the truth, and we know what that is…"
Stefani and the "God Gave Me You" singer have been together since 2015 when they both coached on "The Voice." They later tied the knot in 2021.

In February, Shelton celebrated Valentine's Day by gifting Stefani a massive emerald green ring.
"He really mixed it up. Usually I get amazing flowers, which I love, love, love, but this was just a, 'Here you go!'" Stefani said during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" "Yeah, he did the whole thing. I love you Blakey!"
Gwen Stefani reflects on balancing No Doubt, motherhood
Stefani also opened up in her Nylon interview about the pressures of continuing her work with No Doubt while expanding her family.
The singer shares three sons with ex-husband and Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale. Stefani told the magazine she thinks the band was "disappointed" when she became pregnant with her second son Zuma. "I don't think they would say that. No one’s going to be mad you're having a baby," she added. "But while I was busy, they were kind of waiting."
No Doubt's most recent album, "Push and Shove," was released in September 2012. While the album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and scored the band a Top 20 hit on Billboard's Adult Pop Airplay chart, Stefani said her creative dynamic with the group had been shifted by motherhood.
"Things change when you have two babies," Stefani said. "There was nothing left in me. I had no ideas. I had so much insecurity. I felt like — 'Help!'"
She added: "I look at it now and think, 'God, what was I doing trying to please everybody?' Because really, I should have just been with my family. But we did it, and there are some good songs. It was... Don't remind me. I don’t want to talk about it."
No Doubt is set to reunite with a pair of performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 13 and April 20.
