FKA twigs is showing off her meta angel.
Amid speculation about her relationship status, the 35-year-old shared the details of her romance with cinematographer Jordan Hemingway.
"The whole of my career i've been hunted for who i am dating," twigs wrote in a March 7 Instagram post. "So this time i'm pipping you to the post and taking control of the situation. his name is @jordan_hemingway, a beautiful artist whose heart has restored my faith in love. pap pics will always be rough so swipe for the hot pics."
The "meta angel" singer concluded her message by adding that she'd now like "to go back to my nice private life."
Prior to her new romance, the "Sad Day" artist dated Shai LaBeouf for about a year until their 2019 split after meeting on the set of their movie, Honey Boy. In December 2020, twigs—born Tahliah Debrett Barnett—filed a lawsuit against the actor, accusing him of physical and psychological abuse. (LaBeouf has denied the allegations, however, the case is set to go to trial in April 2023).
Last year, the actor addressed the allegations while responding to his alleged firing from the movie, Don't Worry Darling.
"My failings with twigs are fundamental and real, but they are not the narrative that has been presented," he wrote in an email to Variety. "There is a time and a place to deal with such things, and I am trying to navigate a nuanced situation with respect for her and the truth, hence my silence."
Since filing her lawsuit, twigs has opened up about the impact of her experience.
"If I ever have children, I want them to know that I stood up for myself, and that's important," she told GQ in June 2022. "And sometimes, standing up for yourself is messy. Sometimes it can cause more trauma, and sometimes it can be dividing. People don't expect you to stand up for yourself, but I did and I'm proud of it, and what happened to me wasn't right."
