I got kids about that age, and the only thing I knew was what any father would do: just step into action and make sure the babies were all right.”
The other man performed CPR on one of Summerville's children. By the time Spalding County Fire Department arrived at the scene, Summerville was in cardiac arrest. Summerville and her children were then airlifted to a local hospital. The following day, Summerville died from her injures. Her two sons were discharged while her daughter still remains in the hospital, according to Atlanta News First.
The Spalding County Fire Department is reportedly investigating what caused the fire.
